| So, I have to damit, I'm pretty excited for this "event." It kicks off in April, although I think there is an issue #0 coming out in March. Avengers vs. X-MenBut, I definitely fall on the side of the Avengers. Captain America, hell yes! But there's been tons of speculation about which side some of the characters will be on. Like Wolverine, Storm, and Beast, since they have both X-Men and Avenger affiliations. But I'm hoping Thor returns by then, and him and the Rulk just beat the crap out of everybody. Bam!

| I was going to give this a pass. As I really dislike "Events". But this one sounds like it will be contained in its own series and not be a 139,786 issue crossover. BUT all the banners on all the comics sites I visit have had an effect on me with all the pretty colorful pictures . And I have to say, like Tad, I'm coming down on the side of the Avengers. I'm just not a huge X kinda guy. I'll have to check it out. And hell yeah Rulk will kick everyones ass. And what's this about Thor being gone?? I haven't drifted into Thors title so far.........yet :joker: . | |

| Also, Paul, I think there are going to be a ton of tie-ins. Like I know that the X-Titles will all tie in, so I'm assuming all the Avengers ones will as well. | |

| Welcome, Johnny! As far as the Avengers vs. X-men go, judging by Marvel's April solicitations, it looks like all the major X-Men and Avenger titles will be tie -ins. Here's their solicitations. Marvel April SolicitationsIt looks like just the "team"books will be tied in, so it will be "Avengers" and not "Captain America" or "Amazing Spider-Man." Also, there will be a separate title called "A vs. X" which , I have to admit looks pretty sweet. It's being described by Marvel as the "Fight Book." So it's just a ton of action that expands on the fights seen in the regular "Avengers vs. X-Men" title. Man, I'm seriously getting amped the more and more I hear about this. | |

| Avengers vs. X-Men starts with a #0 in March, but everything else hits in April. But if you're going to read this, I would suggest reading Avengers: X-Sanction first, which is a mini series that is going on now. All the issues should be easy to find, but all indications are that this is a lead in to the big event.
And it has Cable fighting the Red Hulk in it!
Ka-Pow!!

| Yhea, the X-Sanction story is the prelude to AVX. Its all still circling around Hope Summers survival. Im on #3 of Sanction and it is great. Cant wait to get the last issue of it. As for #0 to AVX, it was included in the AVX Preview book as a 5 page preview. Really nothing much with it, but the last page is very good. It will have you primed knowing whats going to happen next. You def need to read it before the main series kicks in to get whats going on.

| I knew this AVX thing wasn't a new idea. I was BBBing some books tonight and ran across this one from 1987. | |

| Those are on my to-get list. With the new ones, its all about the future of the Marvel Universe. According to Cable, if the Avengers win, the world will come to an end like his timeline shows. But if the X-Men win, the world wont be destroyed. If the round 1preview at the end of the AVX program guide is how the actual issues are, there will be dialogue in it. I heard all it was going to be is fight scenes only, which would bite. Ive seen the silent issues Marvel did several years back and that was a waste of money if you ask me.
Tad, have you found a list of what issues of the Avengers and X- titles will have the tie ins? From what Im gathering so far heres what I got, if its right.
Avenger #25 New Avengers #24 and 25 Uncanny X-Men #11 Secret Avengers #26 Wolverine and the X-Men #9
Im guessing its going to be bigger than that.

| So far the best I can find are these: But as you can see in the second list, this party is going into September, so this checklist will grow exponentially, I just can't seem to find any "official" complete checklist. There's also not anything new in this months Previews to help. Another thing to consider is that I think there will be a lot of comics that aren't officially "tie-ins," but will probably add to the story. Like Avengers Assemble, and Hulk Smash Avengers, which is a miniseries that re-tells the conflicts between Hulk and the Avengers from the 70's until now. Should be a nice refresher. | |

| Paul - Do you have the other 3 of the X-men vs Avengers? would be interesting to see if any of the story's are similar when the new one comes out? It must be something Marvel do a lot as this week I have been reading Mark Millers Civil War which see's Captain America against Iron Man and the such
Also hope it don't tie into to many comics as the next few months budget is a bit limited

| Civil War was a great story. I havent read all the tie-ins yet, but the main story was great.
As for the older version of AVX, no. its not the same story line. This new story was 10 years in the making from what I read last night, making it from 2002. All the stories in both X-Men and Avengers was suppose to be leading up to this point in time, but there was really no hint of it coming. I think it all started with the mini story that was in the X titles called Hope, which this story surrounds. Hope Summers is suppose to be the Mutant Messiah. She was the first mutant born after Scarlett Witch deactivated 90% of the worlds mutants during Secret Invasion. Theres only suppose to be 200 active mutants anymore and they all live either on Utopia or at the Jean Grey School for Gifted Children, formaly, Xaviers school.

| 10 years in the making!! that must have took some planing. As I have said this Marvel universe is all a bit new to me so it now feels like I have missed so much, but I am looking forward to this title coming out. | |

| I just read Avengers: X-Sanction #4, which is the last issue of the ramp up before Avengers vs. X-Men.
Holy hole in a donut! I'm totally stoked for this even more now! Next week is Avengers vs. X-Men #0, then the ball really starts rolling the week after with #1.
It's a big gamble on Marvel's part to put all their eggs in one basket, but I have high hopes for a big payoff.

| Alright, we are now two issues into this story with #0, and #1. So what do you guys think? #0 didn't have a whole lot that we hadn't already seen in the kajillion previews Marvel put out at the back of every comic for the last month. Still cool though seeing the Vision/Scarlet Witch dynamic.
But #1 was super cool. I was worried with it being 12 issues that it would be several issues in before we saw some throw down. But right off the bat we have Cyclops shooting an eye beam at Captain America.
I think this is going to be a sweet series. Can't wait to see it all unfold.
I really need to read up on the whole Phoenix Force though. I am way out of the loop when it comes to older X-stories.

| So we had our first "crossover" book with New Avengers. Kind of a let down for me. A lot of it was about Luke Cage and Jessica Jones deciding whether or not to stay at Avengers Mansion, or move out.
I hope the other tie-ins are better. I'm hoping for more behind the scenes stuff from the Avengers that are actually participating in this fight, and their own personal struggles during it.
I guess we'll wait and see.
