| Well this was an experiment for sure! Luckily it was well received. I wouldn't say she is into comics, but she doesn't dismiss them. She was a English Major so if it's well written she will give it a try. My wife has read & enjoyed Preacher, Watchmen, LOEG, Peepshow, Hellboy, Lone Wolf & Cub & the Tick. I don't own a lot of comics anymore so her exposure has been limited. I do plan on getting Fables & Planetary for her at some point, I think she will enjoy those as well. | |

| Has she read Sandman by Neil Gaiman? I always think that's a well written comic. | |

| Heres a few new ones for me. Detective Comics #338, 551, 569 A few XMen mini series that wasnt complete. Complete mini series for XMen. Age Of Apocolypse 10th anniversary issues and 1 shot issue. The End Books 2 and 3 And now for the coolest ones. This was the packing material the seller of the XMen stuff used. And yes, it is what it looks like. The front of them. Lucky they were not part of the lot, but why the fuck would you use comics for packing material, even if they are damaged? | |

| The latest to the addiction................I meant collection. Another slice out of the Uncanny X-Men collection. Couple from the 50's. Not in the best shape, but the price was a steal. Felix the Cat (1957) and Comics on Parade featuring Nancy and Sluggo (1952/1953 Dec/Jan. issue.) Be nice if you could still pick up books for that price. For the enabler I chat with whos been trying his best to convert me to DC a bit more, here you go. Detective Comics #453 And Super-Team Family # 2, 3 , 11, and 14 | |

| I got a few more high grade Batman keys today. First up Batman #227. This is the first Denny O'Neill and Neal Adams book, that changed batman from campy to badass. Next is Batman 127. This is the issue from 1959 where Batman fights Thor, before he was a Marvel character and still just a norse god. Batman 181. First appearance of Poison Ivy. And Batman:Vengeance of Bane. Obviously the first appearance of Bane. | |

| Those all look badass nice Tad. The cover on #227 is sweet. It remiinds me of the first page in one of the older Detective Comics reprints I have here. I'll see if I can find it and post it. | |

| Paul I'd like to see that. It reprints the cover of Detective Comics 31 I think. Classic cover for sure! Love it! | |

You're right, Johnny. It's a throwback to that classic Bob Kane cover. | |

| Got this in today. It's the first appearance of Ra's Al Ghul. I think now I'm only missing the first silver age Mr. Freeze and Scarecrow to have the first silver age appearances of all the main villains. | |
