Top Cow's New Series "Hardcore"

In my seeming never-ending "catch-up" reading, I recently came across Hardcore #1, a new comic by Robert Kirkman of Walking Dead fame.

It's really good. It's a kind of near-future sic-fi story about a government agency that implants a device into people close to criminals they need to take down. Then they use the implant to "link" an agent's brain to it, so that he can control the person with the implant. Kind of an Avatar meets CIA.
But the catch is that the agent can only be linked for 72 hours before he dies of brain damage.

I won't spoil any more, but it was a really good read. A great first issue with a great setup for the story as a whole.
