| Hey fellas.
I guess it's a silly question to ask a bunch of comics freaks like this group. But is anyine else looking forward to the "second wave" of New 52 titles?
For those who may not know. "The Second Wave" are six new titles launching in May to replace six cancelled titles DC has decided to stop. The outgoing books are: Men of War, Mister Terrific, O.M.A.C., Hawk and Dove, Blackhawks and Static Shock. Not one of them is a title I even picked up an issue of. The titles being introduced to replace them are: Batman Incorporated, Earth 2, World's Finest, Dial H, G.I. Combat and The Ravagers.
Of the new books the ones I'm looking forward to checking out are G.I. Combat, Earth 2, and Worlds Finest.

| How can you not be looking forward to Dial H?? It is being written by China Miéville (one of my all time favorite authors) after all and will be the only one of the second wave that I will be picking up | |

| I'm stoked for all of them. Although I will admit I have no idea who that author is for Dial H. But I think they made a good call canceling those titles and getting some new ideas out. Some folks were bummed about O.M.A.C., but I wasn't really into it.

| I'm looking forward to GI Combat the most I think. Dinosaursa and soldiers. POW BAM KABLAMMM I too have no idea who the author of Dial H is. But alot of people seeem to be pumped about it. I have no idea what Dial H is either TBH. I'm thinking I'll like Earth 2 and Worlds Finest, simply because I love alternate universe stories. have no clue about The Ravengers. Something about teen superheros on the run or something. And can someone let me in on Batman Incorporated? I know it was a DC series before. What exactly was it about?? | |

| I think its where there are lads of Batman across the world and its run like a global business fighting crime, But that's what I was lead to believe as I have never read it. Dial H for Hero is about a mysterious dial that enables an ordinary person to become a superhero for a short time. Each time it is used, the dial causes its possessor to become a superhero with a different name, costume, and powers. | |

| DC has released an image of Jim Lee's Batman from the new Earth 2 title. SAWEET!!! DC has also given the hint that it is a "Wayne" ender the mask. So the speculation has begun. Is it Damien? Or someone else? | |

| Well I finally got a chance to pick up GI Combat, World's Finest and earth 2 today. So far i've read World's Finest and GI Combat and...........THEY FREAKING ROCK!!!!! I'm very happy with them as of issue #1. Huntress and PowerGirl are going to be an interesting and fun filled team I think. And my only complaint about GI Combat is that the two stories are so short. But that's to be expected in a book that has two stories isn't it? I'll dig into Earth 2 later tonight and let you know what i think.
Run out and get GI Combat and Worlds Finest if you already haven't.

| Bought the first Batman 52 hardcover, and it looks great. Glad to see Capullo doing his own thing instead of being forced to draw like McFarlane on Spawn. I haven't gotten around to reading it yet but with Scott Snyder on writing duty I can't imagine it being bad in any way.
I haven't been keeping up with DC's revamps and such but I'm interested in reading Animal Man and Dial H for Hero.

| So I finally read Dial H. I'm not impressed. I think it might just be over my head. It seems more like a Charles Dickens novel, rather than a comic. A little to word, a little too "high vocabulary" for me, and the heroes he turned into were weak for me.
At one point they use the term "effluvial winds." I don't need to think that much when I'm enjoying a monthly comic.
But I might just be too ordinary to get it.
