this came in the post yesterday nothing out of the ordinary just another issue on my hunt for a complete set of uncanny



TBH when it came I was a bit annoyed by all the stress marks to the spine and other little folds in the corners but it fills a hole until a better copy comes along

I was also able to grab a few back issues to fill some holes. Mostly Green Lantern titles, and all $1.

I have seriously need to hit a shop around here. Awesome pick up guys. I want those AVX books. those look sweet. As soon as all my recent buys show up, Ill have a huge showing to do. Picked up some nice silver age books today of Detective Comics, Green Lantern and Lois Lane, and a ton other items. Im hoping to be able to hit a shop or book store sometime soon. I need some newer issues in.

Tad those comics rock! I'm very interested in the A V X. I also noticed the Voltron! Are those pretty cool books I wonder?


A few Months back I had to sell my small CGC collection so now I'm on a quest to pick them back up plus some others. I gotta decide what to get this month. New Mutants 87 or Secret Wars 8 or maybe an old Valiant not really sure just yet. So here I go again...New Mutants 98 CGC 9.8 even better centering than the one I had before.
1st Appearance of Deadpool

Johnny- Nice pickup. Deadpool is awesome.

Johnny--That is a beautiful book! That's one of the few CGC comics I own, too, but mine's a 9.0 I think. That is just a badass book you have!!

Also, the AVX in my pic is just a free preview the comics shops are giving away, I haven't had a chance to look through it, but I think it's just a big checklist and some concept art.

You know I was talking about not going to a shop for over 17 years before? Well.................................today I remember why I havent been to a shop in so long. They are the most evil places on this Earth. You walk in and get sucked down into the pits of Stan Lee and theres no way out. Heres why I think this way.

Then these came in the mail today to boot. Sorry for the bad pix on those, just too excited I guess. Now I only need the X-Force issues for Messiah War. And that Winter Soldier is issue #2. I went to look for #1, but ended up looking in another spot and grabbed the X-Force stuff instead.



Boy what a day. Thank God they gave me a 10% new comic discount. And sad thing is, I said I would be back.

Chris those are some great pick ups! Super nice haul! What's the strory on that Venom line? I see many cool characters on the covers

Chris--you got all kinds of new releases! We are TOTALLY talking about that stuff now!

Also, I think it's total BS that Marvel charges $1.25 for their Previews insert, instead of just including it like everyone else. I hate that.

I wasnt planning on getting this much. But when I walked in they were saying "Pick Me! Pick Me!" like that little puppy at the pet store. I just couldnt leave the poor little things there all alone. I walked around and thinking to me sellf I have to leave soon, 30 min later I was thinking I need to leave soon.

I had to get the 2nd print of #1 of the new Hulk series. They didnt have 1st print. Plus I was going to get the variant covers of the X-Saction story, but passed for now. I need to find that rich relative of mine to let me hold 6k next time I go in there.

New Mutants 87 CGC 9.8 1st Cable

I totally agree. Back then in the 60's the covers is what got you to pick them up. Made it more interesting to the eye. Thats what I was drawn to in the 70's when I started to pick them up.

Hey fellas. Made a trip to Strange Adventures today and picked up another load of books. So without further delay, here's my pickups.

First up is some new and relativly new issues. Hawkman and Flash have ben really good. Looking forward to Captain Cold in this newest issue of Flash. If Scarlet Spider #2 is as good as #1 I'll be pleased. Secret Avengers is new to me, I figured issue 21.1 was a good spot to give it a try. Warlord Of Mars 2 & 3 aren't really new but new to me and I loved #1. Grabbed Thor #1 to see if I wan to follow The God Of Thunder. And can't wait to read Justice League #6. So far one of my favorite New 52 titles. I grabbed Avenging Spider-Man #2 to see if it can work it's way into the buy pile ona perminant basis. And I grabbed DC Universe Presents #6 because it's the start of a new story following The Challengers Of The Unknown. Might be intereasting.




Next up we have Captain America #s 6, 7, 8. Really liking Cap in this series. Picked up Lord Of The Jungle 1 & 2 to try out. All-Star Western #6. Another favorite New 52 title. And lastly The Bionic Man 1-4. Giving that a whirl too.


And finally we have some random books I grabbed out of the Dollar boxs down back at Strange Adventures. I grabbed Green Hornet Year One # 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10. Thats four Dynamite titles that followed me home. I'm seeing a pattern forming. Issue 1 of Frankenstein Agent Of S.H.A.D.E. I decided to see what it was like. Captain America And Bucky #620. I think this is the issue where Captain America made the title switch to Cap & Bucky. Resurrection Man #1. No idea what it's about yet. G.I. Joe # 25 from IDW. And lastly Vampirella And The Secret Legion #1. Oh and the Alpha Flight was thrown in free for fun. The bag was one of two the guy at the store gave me for free because I bought 1100 bags and boards today. They were happy to be open on a sunday today.


It was a good day.
