If you could only read five comics.....

All the talk and thought lately about pull lists and how hard it is to trim them down got me thinking of a "What if" question.

What if you could only get five comics every month? What would they be? And to make it interesting I don't mean titles you read because you've read them forever and feel you have to. Lets base the choices on books you really are excited about and look forward to every month because you really want to see what happens.

After some thought here are mine. The order has nothing to do with anything.

The Savage Hawkman- I love this title and actually wish it was 3.99 with more pages.

Batgirl- This is a major fav of mine and every month I wait very impatiently for it.

Aquaman- This is a surprise hit for me that I started picking up recently to get caught up. Never read Aquaman in my life before this.

The Lone Ranger- The stories are really simple but I love the art and am loving the current story showing Tontos past.

Captain America- I'm really hooked on Cap right now. I hope after the creative team changes with Marvel NOW! that it stays as good.


You'll notice Incredible Hulk and Hulk didn't make this particular list. Like I said choosing based on books you really want to read bad, not ones you read because you feel you should. I'm glad this really isn't going to happen. Five comics a month would suck.

If I had to narrow my already tiny pull ist down to five it would be..

1- Crossed Badlands, I just love this story and I still love the online comic that runs along with it (Crossed wish you were here)
2- Mars Attacks, as I have said before I love the whole franchise so this one will not go till it ends or I'm totally skint and cant buy any comics at all
3- Batman, He is just my fave so would never stop buying him

that's about as small as I could go without stopping the other 2 spaces I would save for mini series that only have small runs like Images Witch Doctor and the like.

Thats a hard one to come up with. Ive been reading more older titles lately than newer stuff.

1. Ultimate XMen- the story line is getting good. They found out that their powers was actually made by the US government (go figure ) and not by God and they are revolting.
