| Here is the place to discuss Batman, Detective Comics, and any other Batman Family titles.
I think it goes without saying that Batman is BY FAR my favorite character. The new 52 Batman titles have been exceptional as well, especially Batman and Detective comics.
Feel free to discuss any and all Bat-titles here!

| I've heard a rumor that Batman has been so successful that DC is going to send all 6 issues for another printing. It's that good. Especially issue #5. One of the best comic issues I've ever read. Period.
After so many years, it's hard to make Batman "fresh." It's almost all been done. But Scott Snyder has totally rocked the heck out of Batman. The Court of Owls has been just a totally creative plot line, that totally keeps you guessing.

| Batman is one of the best if not the best comic out of the new 52, I am loving the Owls storyline. | |

| The Court of Owls storyline is going to crossover in all of the Bat-Titles in a story called "Night of Owls." Court of Owls CrossoverAnd the coolest part is that it will also be in All-Star Western, since the Court of Owls is supposed to have existed for hundreds of years. Awesome! | |

| If you'd asked me about being a Batman fan a few months ago. I would have said I wasn't one really. But when I got digging onto my old comics I found a big bunch of Batman books. And when the New 52 started I grabbed Detective Comics #1 to see how it was. I love it. It's the only Bat title I'm following right now. But maybe I'll pick up others soon. I also recently picked up DC Chronicles Batman Vol. 1. It starts with Detective #27 and follows in order Batmans earliest adventures. The early stories are simple, but great. I can't wait to get the next one. I love these collections because I can read the old issues without worrying about damaging them. Not that I could afford the originals anyway . | |

| Batman #7 showed that this title is still going strong! Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo seem to be getting better and better with each issue.
And the Court of Owls thing is the coolest Batman story I've read in a long time. Js when you though it's all been done in Gotham, something pops up that even has Batman afraid!
I also really like how they've started crossing over this story into different books. Like there's a part in Batman #7 when Bruce and Dick Grayson are talking in the Batcave. If you read Nightwing #7 also, it has the exact same dialogue for their interaction, just shown from Dick's point of view.
And the big twist this issue? Dick Grayson was supposed to be trained as a new Talon assassin for the Court of Owls. But just before they could start on him, his parents died, and Bruce took him in. Freaking cool.
And I can't wait to learn more about the Court of Owls, too. Who are they behind the owl masks? Who's the creepy kid in the owl mask that they asked to decide if Batman should live or die in issue #5.
What are your guys' guesses. I honestly have no idea at this point. I don't think it's anyone of the previous Arkham villains we all know. But maybe it's someone from Bruce's life that's secretly evil. Since they are so powerful, and apparently wealthy, you would think that Bruce would know them in his normal life as a billionaire. But who?

| If you are liking the new Detective, then I think you would really like Batman. I think it's a better written and better drawn book in the same universe.
Especially issue #5. Even if you don't buy it, just take a minute to flip through it at the comic shop.

| So we're nearing the conclusion of the Court of Owls story, and it's been great! I've loved seeing Bruce actually needing to call for help, the Talons dominating Gotham City, and the Nightwing being the Talon that got away, have all been awesome plot points.
I can't wait to see it wrap up!
Have you guys been keeping up with it?

| You guys reading this? I'm loving Batman still. The twist with the head Talon being Bruce's brother was bad ass to me. I've heard Bruce's brother appeared in the 70's, but this is the New 52, so all bets are off. And Snyder has announced that the Joker will appear in the new 52 with the next storyline. Can't wait to see how he writes him! | |

| I've only been picking up Deective Comics sine the relaunch, just to have a Batman title in my mix of books. I'm hot and cold on it really. One month its really good and the next not so much. DC is supposed to be kinda self contained but am i missing anything by not reading the other BM titles as well? Beside the Court Of Owls of course.
And a title thats in my top 5 favs is Batgirl. I'm loving every issue of it from day one.

| Batman is way better than Detective right now. But that could change in a couple of months, when John Layman takes over writing Detective. He's the writer of Chew and Mars Attacks. One of the top talents in comics, so I think it will be great. But maybe you should grab the first trade of Batman and see if you like Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. I'm really enjoying their team up. An I cannot freaking wait for them to write a Joker story soon! | |

| I really like Dark Knight. Especially the art. David Finch draws a kick ass Batman. As for Batman, Inc, it's just meh. I read it out of a sense of responsibility being a Batman fan.
But I like all the other Bat-titles a lot. Batwing, Batwoman, Batman and Robin, Birds of Prey, Batgirl. I'm not really into Batman Beyond. Again, I just read that because I have to.
