Today was a sweet day to go to the PO Box. My Mego Hulks were waiting for me today!!!!

12" Huls sealed in his box. 8" Hulk in box. And 8" Hulk with bubble and card. The bubble is still attached on one side but the figure is able to be taken out. I'm pumped to have these guys finally. This may be the start of a new collection. cheers

Paul I used to own some Mego's and I was thinking about starting a collection. Them Mego's are pretty rare to find in top notch shape. Great job! I'm afraid of all the repro parts people make for them. Gotta do my home work first.

Johnny- There are lots of repros in Mego collecting from what I've heard. But also it's my understanding from Joe Y that repros aren't considered as evil in Mego circles as in Star Wars collecting. One of the main reasons beng that Mego people are more up front and honest about repor items. Not alot of intentional scamming. And clearly marked.

Correct. In the Mego circles, repros are accepted since the parts being reprod are more rare than some of the figures themselves. They know how to draw a line through what they will accept and most parts are from 1-2 sources unlike for SW stuff that a ton of people are making them when theres plenty to go around. If I ever decide to get into Megos, I wouldnt mind having repro parts in my collection. Even the re-issues look good to me to start with.

The reissue figures are becoming more and more accepted by hardcore Mego collectors. They even have a section on http://www.megomuseum.com/ called Remego. I think their acceptance is just an excuse by toy hoarders to get more stuff Very Happy

Hey Paul thanks for that link I joined the mego musem two weeks ago or so. It looks pretty simple to detect the repro parts so that's positive! I'm excited but my wallet won't be soon Very Happy
