I know this is the Indie forum, and technically this is a DC book, but it's under their Vertigo imprint, which I would consider Indie.
But anyway, the book is titled Saucer Country, and it's worth checking out.

The story centers around the Governor of New Mexico, and her deciding whether or not to run fro President. But inter-mingled in her decision are glimpses and bits and pieces of an alien abduction that she may or may not have had. It looks like it's going to be a cool read every month, as more and more is discovered and we get to know the characters more. Included in the characters is a Harvard Professor who has been laid off for publishing a book supporting the existence of alien visitors, and the best part is he keeps seeing tiny aliens in his lap and wherever he might be.
Just an out-there cool book that I think has a lot of potential in being a good read month to month.
