The journey begins

Well I've decided to finally get my collection Bagged, Boarded and Boxed. So I decided to do a bit of a photo journal of the process. I did a rough count of what I have so I know roughly what to buy for BBBs when I go to the comic shop on sunday. i snapped some pics of a few boxs of stuff amd a few issues to give an idea of what I have. There's some stuff in here I forgot about. As I go along over the next week or so I'll snap pics of some neat stuff as I come across it.

Most of these are books I've picked up since November last year. Lots of Thor and Flash in here.

When I was a kid I didn't even realize that The Dazzler comic wasn't a Hulk comic. I just got it because it had Hulk on the cover






I love the Superman cover. It's always been one of my favorites. The Superman Family is another one I always read alot as a kid.

There's some sweet Batman goodness in there, too. It'll feel great to have them all bagged and boarded and organized. Keep us updated!

Alot of these comics are ones I.........shall we say "borrowed" from my older brother whenI was younger. Yeah borrowed is a good word. hehe They come from what I consider an awesome era in comics. From roughly 1974 to around 1986-1987. I came across some other awesome covers that I'll post up as I go along. It's going to be a process. I figure somewhere around about 1100 books or so. Not a huge collection by any means, but alot to BBB all at once. It'll be fun.

Wow. Some killer issues in there. The Batmans caught my eye quick. I see several there I still need.

Digging the Semper Fi books as well. Good looking collection you got going.

Looks great Paul! I love all the Batman you have and looking at all the great cover art on those.

I hope we get an update of them all bagged and boarded. It's great that these have "stayed in the family" and makes another good reason to preserve them.

Update #1 March 3, 2012.

Today I dedcided to organize a few issues. I dug in to my box of Punihser issues. I'm going to have to complete this set sometime. I got alot of them but i know I'm missing a bunch too. I have The Punisher, Punisher War Journal and Punisher Armory, among others.

Dug some more out to BBB tonight. Here's a few of the interesting ones.

WOW! Theres some killer issues in there. Tarzan, Kirby-era Black Panther, Masters of the Universe. Youve been holding out on us there buddy.

Glad you like them. These are just comics I "borrowed" from my brother and had kicking around my room my whole childhood. You should see the ones I traded at the bookstore back in the day. Makes me want to cry thinking of it.

I can imagine. I sold off 6-8 boxes of my old collection and still kicking myself over it. My whole Image collection was in it along with some nice Marvel, DC, and Indy stuff.

Paul I'm totally jealous! Amazing collection!

Paul that's some top comicy goodness there. I like how it's diverse with titles like Tarzan, Madballs, Richie Rich, Motu, Disney etc, alongside all the cool staple stuff. That Best of DC ltd edition looks really cool too.
